Pressing OpenApple "E" will change to the overstrike mode. If you are editing a list the word to edit will appear instead of a blank line. You may use the keyboard, mouse, or arrow keys for many selections. During item selection from lists: Open Apple + "1" = List top Open Apple + "9" = List bottom Files are assumed to be on the PATHNAME you start the program with. Fifty LISTS are allowed per PATHNAME. Use "Set Prefix" under the DISK menu to change this. NOTE FileDump Prints the puzzle to a diskfile under two names: KEY.filename and PUZ.filename. See Main menu, options. SIZE reset can be tricky. This redefines the absolute limits of the puzzle size. If you force the MEMORY to low the program will reject it or Clear EVERYTHING and start again. You can do things like set for a list of 100 words, 10 character wide and 150 lines long. Or limit everything to 10 words, 10 characters wide and 10 lines long. Character size selection will adjust the print WIDTH of each character within the limits of a standard 8 1/2" printer and your printer. For example the STAR printer will print double high, double long characters at 5 CPI which is good for younger children. If you want to make them blind then select 17 CPI and a large puzzle. Good Luck Ed Oest Word Search Documentation Page 4 User changes: If your printer does not work or the output is bad you may have to edit the printer definitions. Space for 6 printer types is allowed.
